Lokmat Group made its foray in the entertainment sector through its subsidiary Lokmat Entertainment for production and distribution of films and television content. It released its first Marathi film “Jetaa” in August 2010, a co-production with Ramesh Deo Productions Pvt. Ltd.

In its endeavour to create a culture of environmental responsibility among media houses, the company has set up two solar power plants, one at Nagpur and other at Aurangabad in Maharashtra. Through this initiative, Lokmat became the first and only media house in the country to generate and use green/solar energy for printing newspapers.
